This year marks the 24th anniversary of International Overdose Awareness Day, a campaign to raise awareness of overdose and stimulate action and discussion about evidence-based overdose prevention.

For many people, International Overdose Awareness Day holds deep significance – it recognises the profound grief experienced by families, friends, and loved ones affected by overdose. It is a day dedicated to both reflection and action.

On 30th August 20024,6.00pm – 9.30pm AEST –    Barwon Health is hosting a screening of the acclaimed documentary film Love in the Time of Fentanyl at The Pivotonian Cinema in Geelong.

Directed by Colin Askey, Love in the Time of Fentanyl showcases the efforts of employees and volunteers at the Overdose Prevention Society in Vancouver, Canada fighting to save lives and keep hope alive in a neighbourhood ravaged by the overdose crisis.

Tickets to this film screening are strictly limited and registration is essential.  If you are unable to attend, kindly inform us as soon as possible so we can reallocate your ticket.
