Location: We will start at #InjusticeSquare at 4pm and have a program with speakers including elected officials. We will also have our VOCAL-KY Faith in Action Tent where loved ones can bring pictures of those lost to the failed drug war and overdoses and participate in ongoing ways to take action.
At 6pm we will march to the famous Muhammad Ali Center where we will have more directly impacted speakers outside 9f the building. We will give away supplies including narcan, we will do a training and connect those in need to wrap around services all day long.
At 8pm we will gather at Joe’s Crab Shack to watch our famous Walking Bridge light up purple in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day 💜

This is our 3rd Annual event. Each year it grows. Last year we had nearly 200 people. This event is public and opened to everyone. We will have a variety of speakers including victims families, faith community, recovery allies and especially those who have survived overdoses because we know that every overdose is a policy failure. We also do this in solidarity with VOCAL-NY, VOCAL-Washington VOCAL-TX, VOCAL-US and our growing list of community partners all over our city, state and nation.
The bridge crosses the Ohio River.
