International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) – held on August 31 every year – is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died, and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind.

The theme for 2024 is “Together we can”, highlighting the power of our community when we all stand together.

Join us at the NC MedAssist Over the Counter Medicine Free Store on August 30^th, 2024 as we unite in this global effort to raise awareness about overdose.

We are committed to making a difference in our community by launching our Free Narcan Distribution Program on 8/30/2024 in recognition of this important annual campaign.

• What is Narcan? Narcan (naloxone) is a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses and give a second chance to those in need.
• What We’re Offering:
  • Free Narcan Kits to anyone in need
  • Educational Materials on how to use Narcan effectively
  • Referrals and Resources for those affected by addiction

• Time:  10:00 AM to 3:30 PM
