As a community of future physicians and those who are supporting us in our learning, we are coming together in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day to raise awareness of the extreme need for overdose prevention and to create a safe space to share our stories of those we have lost to overdose and of those who struggle with substance use. We will be displaying tributes from those locally and internationally as well as handing out purple ribbons for individuals to wear August 31.
